Founded in Wetzlar in 2019, GENERATION STEEL have since established themselves as a fixture in the German metal scene, revitalizing the traditional heavy metal scene with passion, energy, and enthusiasm. With their first two albums, “The Eagle Will Rise” (2021) and “Lionheart” (2023), as well as a successful tour with Swedish Heavy Metal greats Manimal in fall 2023, GENERATION STEEL has built up a strong fan base. The singles and anthems “Steelers” and “Limitless,”, released in 2024, made a further significant impact. In 2024/25, the band supported MYSTIC PROPHECY & IRON SAVIOR on tour, appeared as special guests for VICIOUS RUMORS and JAG PANZER, and played various festival shows, which further increased the band's popularity and recognition.
Now - in 2026 - GENERATION STEEL is back with a stunning new single and for the first time with this new line-up, which has been completed by guitarist Thilo Hermann (ex-Running Wild, ex-Grave Digger, ex-Risk) and vocalist Mike Stark (Feanor, Stormburner). Band leader Jack the Riffer comments: "The song describes a cold, destructive force (‘Steelmachine’) as a symbol of modern systems of warfare and technology, which were created by humans but cause uncontrollable violence and suffering. At the same time, it criticises the fact that this destruction stems from human hatred and the pursuit of power, and ultimately comes back to haunt us. Power is frequently abused these days, and much of what is happening at the moment has the potential to be destructive. The song is the title track of our new album."
IRON SAVIOR mastermind Piet Sielck is currently refining and finalising the upcoming album "Steelmachine" as producer and it is set to be released just in time for the start of the joint HEAVY METAL MANIA TOUR with MYSTIC PROPHECY and IRON SAVIOR on October 16, 2026.
